The Delaware Blowhole Strikes Again: Obamanomics 101 with Joe Biden

Like anyone with a lick of common sense, I get absolutely nauseated whenever I’m reminded of the fact that Joe Biden is one heartbeat from kicking up his heels in the Oval Office…but I’ve got to admit, there’s some pretty good entertainment value to be had whenever the Delaware Blowhole decides to go off-script and try to speak for himself.

Take his latest words on the lunacy that is Obamanomics. Speaking in the Richmond, Va., suburbs, Biden patiently explained to his audience that the administration’s stimulus plan is driven by the philosophy that best way to avoid bankruptcy is to spend a lot of money that you don’t have in the first place. I swear I’m not making this up just as an excuse to post- he really did say it:

"People, when I say that, look at me and say, 'What are you talking about, Joe? You're telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?" he said. "The answer is yes."

Now, I kind of wonder if what he meant was more along these lines: "People, when I say that, look at me and say, 'Why are you still talking Joe? You’re telling me the American people are so stupid they’ll believe anything you say?’ The answer is yes.” But if that’s not what he meant, it sure as hell should have been. I mean, what sort of idiot do you have to be to honestly believe this crap? How deep in the liberal Kool Aid do you have to get before the idea that going further and further into debt moves you away from bankruptcy makes some sort of twisted sense?

In fairness, it’s not just Biden that’s a dimwit here- hell, my two Chihuahuas are both smarter than Joe Biden. It’s this whole leadership in DC: Obama, Geithner, Pelosi…the lot of ‘em. I’m absolutely fed up with all this nonsense the media keeps spewing about how smart these people supposedly are. As Don Imus rightly pointed out, we’ve been sold this “best and brightest” nonsense by the Democratic Party before, back in the 60s, and that bunch ended up getting us bogged down in Vietnam and building a welfare state that has run up a gargantuan tab without having any notable impact of the poverty rate. The idea we’ve got a bunch of braniacs running the country right now…well, I hate to tell Chris “Quiver Leg” Matthews this, but it just ain’t so. What we’ve got is a bunch of overgrown college kids hell bent on implementing the same failed policies that Lyndon Johnson rolled out 40 years ago, only on a far larger and costlier scale.

Why? Why would they try something that’s been proven not to work? Well, it’s simple, really: they’re liberals- and one of the standard fallback positions of liberals is to blame the failure of their crackpot social engineering schemes on the miserliness of the American taxpayer. It would have worked, they’ll moan, if only we had more money to spend.
And to be sure, their moment is now at hand. They’ve got a left wing radical as president, a Democrat congress with a liberal leadership, and only nominal conservative opposition. If they’re going to break the bank once and for all, they’ll never get a better shot than right here, right now.

Joe Biden knows this, but he’s not smart enough to couch it in soaring rhetoric the way the Obamessiah does. So instead, he says something just out-and-out stupid like “we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt.” I may not feel good about Joe Biden being vice president, but I feel absolutely fantastic about not smoking from the same crack pipe.

It's hard to sound smart when you're spewing newspeak.

Why can't they tie him to a gurney and wheel him back to the assisted living center where he'll be medicated for the next 3.5 years and kept under house arrest?

Yes, it's kind of the Obama Administration to provide we-the-people with comic relief in the form of Biden's speeches. But at some point it stops being funny and starts to grate on my nerves - and I'm at that point.

That was most enjoyable to read! One question though. You have two Chihuahuas? If not Joe's crack pipe, who's? :)

Biden is a moron... actually I think he is a drunk moron.

Could it be that he is that extra bit of insurance to guarantee obama's "health"?

More likely is that since he was coached and brought along by the CFR it was a political favor (payback) to those who engineered the bank run that virtually guaranteed Chairman Zero's win of the pResidency.

We all know how the media worships Obama, but of equal embarrassment for the press is the pass Biden gets. The guy is a walking gaffe machine. Dubya didn't always phrase himself as carefully as he should have, but Biden really just comes of as a truly stupid individual.
